Nacelle Systems

We provide nacelle systems and aftermarket support for the world’s newest widebody commercial aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the Airbus A350 XWB. We’re also on board with nacelles for the Airbus A320neo, Bombardier CSeries, Mitsubishi Regional Jet and the next generation of Embraer E-jets.

Our next generation nacelle systems feature a short, lightweight inlet/fanlets, seamless low drag acoustic liners, optimized aerodynamic lines and advanced noise suppression systems for more efficient and quiet operation. On the Pratt & Whitney PurePower® Geared Turbofan™ engine, our advanced nacelle acoustic technologies help provide a 75% reduction in noise footprint.

Landing Gear

UTC Aerospace Systems is a proud supplier of landing gear assemblies to the world’s leading airframe builders. From the Boeing 747 to the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter, we continue to push the boundaries of advanced design and materials technology on landing systems for the commercial, military, regional and business aircraft applications.

In addition to using lighter-weight materials, more electric technologies, and increasingly robust systems, recent innovations include SMARTgear™ health monitoring and maintenance systems, which significantly improves landing gear performance and reduces aircraft downtime.

Integrated Drive Generator

IDGs supply constant frequency AC power to the electrical system, which simplifies the design of the aircraft’s complete electrical system.  Since their introduction decades ago, UTC Aerospace Systems’ IDGs have flown millions of flight hours. The extensive amount of in-service performance data has been used by our engineers to improve the reliability, maintainability, and safety of the IDG. Today, the IDG is used by all of the major OEMs and is found on nearly all commercial and military applications. The IDG is the world standard for constant frequency power.
